The demise of KoL from school.

I probably should have cleared my history, as they keep checking it every time we have time off from school. Damn.

The news is Kingdom of Loathing is now completely blocked from the school server. Now I'm here in Computer Applications with nothing to do. Well, aside from checking the extremely slow moving forums or reading webcomics.

In other news, Misteroo has released a flash edition of Arfenhouse, for those who follow the series. I'm talking about his old game, not the movie. The old game is now in Flash instead of OCHRPG or whatever it was before.

I'm trying to make a comic again, but it's not wokring out too well. John started using Flash again. That's typically not a good sign, but you never know, and I'll have some new content on my site

I also updated my video driver and downloaded Enemy Territory. I suck at the game, which is a strange feeling for me. I'm usually pretty damn good at FPS games, but I get severely owned in that game. Maybe I've been playing against AI for too long and real players throw me off.

DJ Ghiaccio sent a few new songs my way. My computer is too lame to play them all at full speed, even with all other programs turned off. I also sent in some of his work to Radio KoL to try to get him some publicity. Right now, he doesn't have anywhere to host his files. If you're at all interested in hearing his stuff or hosting his files, drop me a line at jay%ceth%e%ayc%e@gm%ail.com (take out the percent signs, I'm keeping my email off the spambots.)

Another interesting place to check out might be
site of DJ Lazlow and his TechnoFile news reports. He's got some interesting stuff there if you're into current technology, or occasional news items of interest.

DnS starts today hopefully. I hope to own.

SAN ANDREAS DOWN!

I just beat San Andreas! I'm looking at the credits roll across the screen as I type this (thanks to my uber layout.)

The last mission is the hardest on any GTA mission ever. Well, except that one on III I haven't beaten yet. That one is the toughest, but because you're not allowed to bring any guns in.

Man, I can't believe it's done. I'm not totally done with it, I know, but I spent almost an entire month on the game. Now it's all petty gangwars and little stuff. Oh yeah, and I still have to rob that casino with Woozie (best character from the game).

Well, This is definately a good thing too. I don't have to put up with all the times when my PlayStation locks up and scratches the hell out of the game anymore. No more toothpaste to solve my problems needed, though I've been thinking about toothpasting up Vice City so I can hijack any car I want to, rather than hoping it isn't tuned to Flash FM.

I was slightly disappointed at the lack of Lazlow in this game. He was awesome as a radio DJ in the last two GTA's, and he was gone from this one.

I think my next project is going to be finshing up GTA III, and possibly beating San Andreas completely. Also, I never once entered a code, or looked online for any help. That's more than I can say I did for Vice or III, where I consulted online material when I was stuck. How the hell are you supposed to figure out how to make a profit off the Pole Position without a guide? I guess you'd have to be really interested in rendered strippers or something.

Things to do, people to link.

Hurray! ClanBOB won the race against Arfenhouse 3 and managed to get their site back online! I should have posted this earlier, but you know how I am with updates. Check out their site and make sure you read the Life of Riley. It's a gaming comic comparable to Penny-Arcade.

Here's a little haiku for you:

My PS2 sucks.
It scratches all my discs up.
I wish it was dead.

It killed San Andreas. to death. Toothpaste helped for a while, but The Shitmachine decided it would be a good idea to scratch it some more. I'm thinking about 'pasting it again, but I'm a bit nervious. It seems using toothpaste is a method of substituting major damaging scratches for many minor ones.

Also, Trigonometry is much easier than Pre-Calc. Thank god for that. I hope I can get a kickass grade in it, rather than the lame one I got for Pre-Calc.

Kingdom of Loathing is the highly addictive game on my list right now. It's free, it's online, and it takes as little or as much time as you want. I like all the little references Jick managed to stick in there.

If you want to contact me in the game, my name is Mr Jack23 and I own the store "Back Alley of the Mafia HQ" or something like that.

Hell, I'll start that ever-popular blog thing of listing what I'm listening to and feeling like or whatever.
